The last thing you would need to do would be that if your style were a waltz (3:4) style, you would need to change "TimeSig=4" to "TimeSig=3". If, however, you are making a 4:4 style, your style is ready to be used!
TimeSig=3
This would be used if you are making a waltz style. The line can simply be omitted when making 4:4 styles.
In the style picker you can choose a TimeSig then have a look at the drum's text file in the the real drums folders x:\Drums

Again ! -What if I want to use 5/4, 7/8, 9/8 etc etc when making my own Realdrums???
When you went to the style picker and chose list by 9/8 TimeSig then looked at what drums where listed, then opened that drum's text file, what TimeSig=X was in it ?

I will check it once I'm home but why are they making it so complicated ?
Just like Tempo, Time signature is an elementary musical ingredient ???
When you went to the style picker and chose list by 9/8 TimeSig then looked at what drums where listed, then opened that drum's text file, what TimeSig=X was in it ?
Only 2 are listed with this Time Signature
CRKWOODS and Exotic1
But there doesn't seem to be any text file that belongs to either one of them ???
Same if I pick another time signature like 12/8 ???
Notes: For TimeSigs higher than 4/4, each bar will be spread out over 2 or more bars (eg. 5/4 will be written as 3/4+2/4). Note2: For 12/8 or 6/8, use 4/4 with a style using a triplet feel (eg. Irish). For 9/8 use a waltz with a triplet feel.
To make it easier to understand set real band to the tempo of the wav/wma file then drag it in and look at the text (template) you see in the text an A fill @ 10 pattern,Fill,A,1,0,1,10 and an A post fill @ 11 pattern,PostFill,A,5,0,8,11
Are you using a template or just making from scratch ? If you use the ready made templates, the ones on the real band site have markers in them to show what goes where http://www.realband.org/files/realdrums_stylemaking_templates_Basic.zip they have midi files also that can be dropped in any daw to give the markers.
For the 3/4 you can start with an existing text template like this:
I haven't even started because I don't know where or how to start !
To make normal Usertracks was a breeze because then you only use the template file with the chord changes. I recorded with my DAW and then just made a folder and put the wav file and the template file in it and it works great.
With Realdrums there is text files involved that adds to the confusion.
And then there is the questions about odd meters.

In the Options.txt of the usertrack drums there is Waltz=false/true you can set but they have still to fix this so it works.
Seems like they left out vital information in these tutorials. They say do this, and do that, but don't actually show you how to do it !
As far as I know I need to make a file (SGU or MGU ??) in RealBand with all the info (intros, fills etc etc) similar to the chord sheet used to making RealTracks and a wav file that correspond to that info and put those 2 files in a folder. (myRealDrums.wav and myRealDrums.SGU )
I would like to know how you make BIAB know where all the fills etc etc are ?
It's probably much easier than it looks on paper ( or text on a computer )
With RealBand it seems easy to set the time signature I want but to fill in (insert) where all the intros and fills etc etc are, is still a mystery.
I made a track up from that user track drum guide and it worked good, but I had to highlight the last 4 bars and regenerate the ending a few times until it filled it in.
You put the part markers where the fills are. Wherever you have an ending, you set it in the Bar settings. They have still to fix the Intros, it would be in the bar setting "2 bar intro starts @ this bar" I left the time sig on default 4/4
To try it just generate up the wav drums with real band for now. I set it to 36 bars and check 2 bar ending. I set bar 37 to blue part marker, after it generated I copied the last 4 bars to bar 17 thus creating a blue ending. I then changed bar 37 to green, highlighted the last 4 bars and regenerated drums, thus giving me a green ending. I set bar settings ending @ 17 & 37. I unchecked 2 bar ending and set bars to 40. I saved with "Drums" in the folder & filename. I chose SGU type and chose the real drum track as the wav.

I have to try this again because I am obviously missing something cause I keep failing to make a user track with drums that actually work. I guess there are very few people if any at all that make their own Realdrums due to the complexity in making them. I appreciates that PG Music has made it possible for the users to make their own RealTracks and RealDrums but there should be much clearer steps to make your own RealDrums and as you say there are things to fix.
Can you just pick an existing real drum with the same timesig you need. Set the tempo in real band the the same tempo as the wav/wma. Set real band to 2 bar offset. Now drag the wav/wma into real band. You can now see where the count-in is. You can see where the pre fills and post fills are. You can see where the A section is. You can see where the B section is. You can see where the A ending is. You can see where the B ending is. You can see where the shots are at the end of the wav file.
If you look in the text file it will show where the count-ins, fills, post fills, endings, shots. The bar number is the last number on the end pattern,Count-in,0,5,0,2,-1 pattern,Fill,A,0,0,1,18 pattern,Ending,0,2,0,2,45 pattern,Normal,A,8,0,6,3 pattern,PostFill,A,8,0,8,1 and the 2nd number on the shots Shot,1,47,166,179,1,80;snare these bar numbers will correspond to the real band bars.
Now create your drums on the track/s below to match the real drum track count-ins, fills, post fills, endings, shots.
Now all you need to do is copy the corresponding text file, and with the guide drum track muted mixdown your new drums from real band. In the text file just change the wavename=xxxxxx_140_Style.wav to your drums/tempo name and save the text file with the same name also. Remove any "barsblocked" in the existing text file. Put them both in X:\bb\Drums\XXXXXDrums. Now go to the drum picker and rebuild. You will now see your new xxxxxdrums.
Just keep at it, you WILL get it, I betcha, it is just a bit daunting at first.
I am getting a lot of these ( attachments ) lately Followed by total software freeze and I have to restart RealBand !
I have been working with computers and software since the mid 90s but I have to say that this is the most complicated and user unfriendly software I have ever worked with !
I will give it this weekend but after that it's my money back !
The yellow one is normal, it starts up the actual band in a box app in C:\RealBand\Data\bbw2.exe to generate up the tracks. Yes it is a problem with real band crashing all the time !!!!!! they are suppose to be building a whole new version in C++ "RealBand In A Box" maybe this year if we are lucky.
You can do it in Cubase or Reaper if you are getting the crashing, just set the bar offset by -2 in them so you can follow the text file.
In Reaper - Project Setting - Project Start Measure = -1 In Cubase - Project - Project Setup - Bar Offset = 2

Well, that was a lot of effort for nothing - I hope others can use the info ! (and pg get on to that new RealBand in a Box C++ so users are not put off and give up by constant crashing anymore)
So I sent an email to PG about the 30 day money back guarantee and they ( Someone called Pauline ) replied that they wanted me to send them some request codes to deactivate the program.
So I did.
After that they got quiet.
I sent another mail asking if I will get some sort of confirmation about the deactivation to let me know if my case have been filed.
Nothing...............
I then went for the Live Help and lo and behold there was Pauline again acting like she's never heard of me or my case.
We chatted a bit and she told me that the person who handled this kind of things were not at office at the moment but that they now have my email.
It's going to be interesting to see if I will get my money back for the 3 products I bought and how long it will take.
I find it really strange that a program that has been around for this long has got so many problems/bugs.
And what about hot keys ! It's 2016 !
Nevertheless, -I like the concept of BIAB and there are simply nothing like it on the market but the issues I have experienced should have been taken care of before release. A program like this should inspire and not make the user frustrated and loose inspiration.
I will keep monitoring the forum to see what is happening and hopefully things will improve so I can give it another try.
PG should offer a Demo version !

I think that nailed it, my sentiments exactly. They have started now on the 2017 version, so that gives them 6 months to reprogram a solid C++ version, if there is not a profound change for 2017 that is it for me, Hasta la vista, baby. If so I will get into scripting in Reaper and create a script users can use and share instrument/drum tracks they have recorded/created and Reaper reads the BWF chord markers & Acid tempo within the wav file (created in Reaper's render dialog from the track makers) and then fits them to your Reaper's chord/marker track. Having very large forum with so many users there would be a large community input of tracks and further script development.

They should also do a complete overhaul of the GUI! IMHO it looks very dated !
Am I right when I think the dev team is very small, maybe just one person ?

Can you please PM me the name and email address that you ordered the product under? I can check to make sure it's handled, but I can't locate your order using the info in your forum profile.
