Hi, all ye good friends !:)) There is always something special with this old traditional that I´ve always loved so much. IMO this song is something of the most beautiful ever written. I am not doing it the justice it would require but then again there is the following story to it. Many years ago when my wife still lived we were driving around in Scotland and naturally we did visit the beautiful Loch Lomond also. Little did I then know that I was not destined to walk on the bonnie bonnie banks together with my wife ever again as she died a couple of years afterwards. I beg all Scottish and English to forgive this old Finlander for mixing both languages performing this beautiful song but have mercy with me as i was carried away by my emotions and the nostalgia that the tune always awakes in me whenever I hear it ! Hi Dani!
You told me in a PM that you aren't a classically trained singer, but I would never guess that from this piece! This sounds like something that would be part of an album made by a famous orchestra!
Like you, I love this song.. my music collection probably has twenty different versions of it, mostly celtic arrangements. Your version is quite different from any other I've heard... a very beautiful difference. More classic, less celtic.
I identify with what Bob said about the chills... (Although its so hot today here in North Carolina that I'd welcome chills any way I could get them)
Good song for you.. it shows off some capabilities we haven't in your other songs to date. You are a man who is just FULL of surprises! Keep it up!

GREAT!!! Like Pat we've heard mostly traditional celtic versions.
You've taken it to a new and excellent place.
The POWERFUL vocal and production make this an instant
classic.

PS No problems with the public domain on this one my friend. It was
published in 1841 and that makes it PD even by the strict US
standards!

Beautifully done, It took me there my mind’s eye, every hill, valley, loch and village, with its little stone pub, where I can imagine this song having being sung over so many years. Pure nostalgia.
