Had a day off! (Whew!) So I had to write a new one. I met my wife some 43 years ago at a music festival in Port Isabel, TX. She was a vocalist in a band, and I was a solo artist. And the rest is history! Last Sunday, we went to Threadgill's (The Old Armadillo Headquarters) in Austin to celebrate our grandson's 12th birthday. We were surprised to get to see the Bells Of Joy (a legendary Black Roots Gospel group) perform at the Sunday Brunch. As we were all singing along, I caught a glimpse of my wife smiling at me - and the idea for this song was birthed. (Sorry for the lengthy intro!) smile Hope you enjoy it...
