This tune is a beauty. Never been done as a cover and it is an old old tune. I introduced Song of the Seashore one night when I was out gigging and a Japanese tourist asked if she could sing it. Well, could she sing ??? WHAT A VOICE ! I WAS MESMORISED to say the least as I backed her. I've never ever heard such a sweet voice. I had a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat when she finished. I felt I had to share the story and record the tune on the lapsteel Song of the seashore

Wow, furry - amazing work, and an amazing story to boot  What a peaceful, tranquil tune this is. Something I could easily close my eyes and get lost to. Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Graham,
The lap steel is such a pretty instrument and this is an equally pretty song. It was a real pleasure to listen to.
Lap steels are so good for anything in 3/4 time. A good friend of mine passed away two years ago and was a master of the lap steel. His name was DeWitt Scott - he hosted the International Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis, Missouri for many, many years. He was a wonderful player of the lap steel. If he were here today to hear this, I'm sure he would be more than delighted - thrilled, for sure, as am I. Excellent!

Thanks Al, I downloaded a few of Troy Brenningmeyers' lessons. Fund them really helpful, but most I've just learnt by ear same as the accordion
