W.C. Fields famously said "Anything worth having is worth cheating for."

The Melodist has not appreciably changed since it was introduced. It's pretty predictable for most things. One area I din sit excels is Ragtime. I am not an expert in the genre, but would not be skeptical of one were to pass off a Melodist generated piece as one of Scott Joplin's lesser known works.
Even considering the "Infinite Number Of Monkeys" theorem, I don't expect to ever generate "Body and Soul" or "Stardust."
