Important matter in your lyrics.

John Anderson did something similar back in the day.
Water..... ask California how important it is. They shut it off to the farmers to try save some miniature fish.
Foolishness..... if you ask me. DO the right thing.
Nice job on the song. I could see this being the banner song for that movement. Great stuff Tom!! Hard to imagine anything about it being better. I had heard some reference to this but wasn't sure what it was about. I was going to reference the battle in California as Herb did. I hope this song gets to a lot of ears. So well done!! Take care. Wow - what a tune! You did an outstanding job here, and the subject matter here only makes it hit harder. Incredible vocal performance, and some outstanding melodies here. You can hear the passion in your voice too. Very well done - thanks for sharing

Hi Tommy,
Good luck changing the minds of politicians.
I like the song. It has good production values and straight forward lyrics but it didn't move me. Songs created in support of a cause need to have an emotional impact and this song didn't hit me in the gut. I never understood (from the song) what we're loosing.
I love the Everglades because I've experienced it. The summer heat, the smell, the sound of wind blowing over the reed marshes and through the swamp trees, the view of the sun at dawn or dusk (more dusk than dawn for me!). You have to make citizens realize what their losing so they will bring the politicians in line. Jim, thanks for taking the time to send your thoughts. The song is not about the trees or the air quality or the smells or the sounds. It is about the decline in water quality. The entire second verse states the problem; “ What about fifty years from now when all the fish have died The Seagrass gone and the algae bloom is everywhere in sight Our drinking water filled with salt it’s a scientific fact Disaster’s at our doorstep if we fail to act”. I understand you don’t get it. Thankfully some folks do get it as it is being played on ESPN radio on a local weekly fishing show. I do appreciate that you have stated your opinion and I will keep your observations in mind for any future political forays. I do see your point but I also think you missed something here. Man, great job Tom, love this one, guitar and vocals are so good, i am a guitar fan and this song brings it!!!! We lived in S florida a few years, and we would go the Everglades regularly. Agreed!!! Save the Glades!!!! Clifton. Thanks for the kind words, Tom
Across the southern tip of Florida including the beautiful Florida Keys, We are in the midst of an environmental nightmare. This has not seemed to reach the national attention in the way we had hoped. I have spent a good portion of my adult life on these waters and it is heartbreaking to witness the decline in quality. A group of charter boat captains are in Washington DC as I write this. Hopefully they can rattle some cages.
What a great gift to be able to use the music to draw attention to an important subject. Great job, Tom. Particularly like your playing on this; good stuff there. Keep 'em coming, Bob Buford Bob, Thanks for giving it a spin. I appreciate it, Tom

Cracking stuff Tommy, you know I always love your stuff. Very tasty Tele work (bound to catch my ear...) plus just-right vocals hammering home the issue here. And that second chord in the choruses, an inspired choice!
