What a super little song David, it has a clever and very beguiling melody line which resolves beautifully into the choruses. I love the timbre of your voice and the plugin enhancements you've applied sound just right to me. A very enjoyable listen, well a few actually.

I got a Jeff Lynne/ELO kind of vision from this. I can truly hear him doing this with that huge string section he uses.
One question. Did Aberdine go to Abilene?

I got a Jeff Lynne/ELO kind of vision from this. I can truly hear him doing this with that huge string section he uses. I love that sound! ELO gets a fair amount of rotation on my car MP3 player. One question. Did Aberdine go to Abilene? Yes, of course! The name is actually a cascade of mis-rememberings, getting "Abilene, Texas" wrong, and then worrying that I'd accidentally pilfered a lyric from one of Ben Fold's songs (either "Emaline" or "Adelaide"). In the end, I liked the sound of "Aberdine" best for some reason - probably from it being in some much better country song I'd once heard but can't remember. Thanks!

hi david (it took a long time to get it done) well this a great job on everything I like your mix very clear and crisp great vocal and I here the seventies British influence. the Beatles Jeff beck Humble pie and many more came out in the sixties and seventies all good stuff thanks for sharing eric
