Deryk - PG Music PG Music Staff Joined: Feb 2017 Posts: 3,414	While not a group, a modern singer in this kind of style I really like is Aurora. She is Norwegian, so she does have an accent but definitely not what I'd describe as the signature "yowl" we're referencing here. She also falls into a category closer to pop than folk generally speaking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTwdGRHl5Mw As for Amy Winehouse - I can definitely understanding someone finding her voice annoying, but I actually really like it for the same reason mentioned above: it sounds really unique and fresh to me. His latest video, Next-Level AI Music Editing with ACE Studio and Band-in-a-Box, he explains in detail how you can use the Melodist feature in Band-in-a-Box with ACE Studio. Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!
