Ok, I can't tell if I've absolutely butchered an extraordinary piece of poetry by my humble attempt to set it to music or whether it's a reasonable attempt ... so maybe you can decide? :-) Here it is: The Lord Is My Shepherd (SoundCloud) The style used is - perhaps appropriately - _PSALM.STY (Psalm Light Worship). I recorded my spoken voice above this with the Audacity program. Please don't be shy to tell me if it's a disaster or not quite up to scratch or whatever - it's how I learn :-) Thanks!

Hi, James. Spoken word isn't really my sort of thing, but I didn't hear anything terribly wrong. The chord progressions were "interesting" in places. I'm not a big fan of repeating the verse twice, but it's a meditative piece, so.. that's fine, too.  Edit: Meant to say not a big fan of repeating. Which, of course, makes this a repetition.

Thanks everyone ... good to see I haven't totally butchered the Psalm :-) I'm relatively sure that even the Lord, patient as He may be and happy at those who put in the effort, may nevertheless appreciate quality, too - not just a "good try" ... at times, at least! I'll listen to it again with a fresh mind today, but thanks to you all for the feedback - it really is appreciated.
