RB is different than BiaB (thankfully)

If you want to 'normalize' a mix in RB, you can just Render the mix (Merge to stereo track) as is
Then Open the resulting wav file in RB and go to:
Track (right click)
Select all (CTRL+A) to select the whole song
then right click - Audio effects
Gain Change
Set it to the Normalize mode or preset
Process the file and re-Render to stereo wav

This is a basic bare bones way to normalize a mix.

In my actual workflow I'd probably insert PGPeakLimit on the A1 (main output) of the RB mixer before initially rendering (or even better use Ozone) to bring things up to the needed levels .. thereby eliminating the extra step.

As I mentioned; RB is different than Biab. Because you have many more options, some choices may take an extra step, but be well worth it once you get the hang of it.
Normalizing Audio is different than normalizing MIDI (velocity changes can actually change how each instrument sounds depending on the synth)

I'd rather 'normalize' audio than MIDI if I like how the synth sounds currently ..

Sorry if this added to the confusion, but there is a difference between normalized MIDI and normalized audio.
Because RB has more options, whether you normalize an Audio file or MIDI can make a big difference.
