Across a few versions I have tried to use VSTs within BIAB, I have never succeeded. It might be something very basic I am doing wrong. Usually I give up and simply play along with my VST completely outside of BIAB. This prevents me recording.

This time I thought I would try again, but still no luck. I am not sure that what I am trying to do is correct.

I want to use the thru track and a VST I own called "Keyscape". This VST has many different keyboards but lets say I want to load an organ. I am using 64 bit BIAB and 64 bit Keyscape. It's as fast machine. I have my physical keyboard linked up and it will sound the GM sounds in BIAB, and I can see activity in the mixer when I play the thru channel

Using the mixer and the first slot of the thru channel, I select Keyscape (which I loaded in the plug in dialogue). I load an organ sound in keycape, it loads. As soon as I do the channel goes silent. Sometimes Biab goes silent too, sometimes it simply crashes.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong

Any ideas please?
