Teunis Expert Joined: Dec 2016 Posts: 1,169 Gold Coast, Queensland, Austra...	Recently when looking for a 2 in 1 laptop I quickly ruled out the Surface Pro based on price and flexibility. There are many tablets, laptops and 2 in 1s that offer better configurations, cheaper and more flexibility. I ended up with an ACER with an i7 and 8 gig ram and 512 gig SSD. It has an HDMI port, 2 x USB 2 type ports and a USB C port. This was way cheaper than a lesser Surface Pro device. No issues with running the applications I want. My two bobs worth. But, I am biased, I had great difficulty with networking Surface Pros and getting them to work with other devices but that was some time ago. Also I wanted USB Ports for both the sound card and a midi foot controller (which I could plug into the sound card. Tony HP i7-4770 16GB 1TB SSD, Win 10 Home, Focusrite 2i2 3rd Gen, Launchkey 61, Maton CW80, Telecaster, Ovation Elite TX, Yamaha Pacifica 612 BB 2022(912) RB 2022(2), CakeWalk, Reaper 6, Audacity, Melodyne 5 Editor, Izotope Music Production Suite 4.1
