UPDATE - Dog is loving his run and his doghouse - they bought a really nice doghouse and put a dog bed inside to keep him comfy. They also keep him inside when the weather is going to be really bad. We rarely hear a peep out of him unless he barks at a stranger in the vicinity - he's a good guard dog who appears to be content and enjoying his space.  No need to reply to this. Just wanted all who commented to know everything worked out.
