Hello Anthony,

So, ultimately, to keep up with the MacBook, I'm going to need to get the new 64 bit version. Is that correct?

If you did want to upgrade to the next Mac OS (Catalina), then yes you will need the 64-bit version.

I'm using the 2016 UltraPak, thinking of upgrading to the same equivalent.
How much space is this upgrade going to take? I only have 150gb left.

If you are upgrading to the 2019 UltraPAK, and you choose to have it shipped on hard drive, you'll get a brand new hard drive with the 2019 version on it. If you don't want it shipped and are doing download-only, then you can download and install the new content, which is the Band-in-a-Box 2019 program + new RealTracks and some other new content, and install it onto your existing Band-in-a-Box hard drive. You will need about 30GB more space for this, so if it you have 150GB free space on your 2016 drive, then you are good.

Would there be any need to keep the 32 bit version? Are any of its files still useful for the 64 bit upgrade?

The Band-in-a-Box.app itself is 64-bit, but it can use the same content files - RealTracks files and other data files are used by either 64 or 32-bit app. So you can still run the 32-bit app if you wish.
