I agree with all the encouraging words for you to keep singing. This is, in my opinion, one of the greatest songs ever written, and not only because it is a gospel hymn. The story behind the song (written by John Newton, a former slave trader), and the power of the message of grace makes it rise to that level, alone.

I have heard people who truly could not sing (unlike you) do this song, and the power and emotions of the message of the song would still move you to tears. But you did the song justice. As has been pointed out, you have a good sense of pitch and timing. And the feelings come through in your delivery.
