OP Ronnie Fields Journeyman R Joined: Nov 2017 Posts: 457 United States	Sometimes when I open up Band In A Box, and try to open a project that I've previously done, I will get a window, that asks if I want to save current project which is a new blank page. If I click no, for some reason, it will popup decompressing file, and then the track that I am trying to pull up, disappears. What is happening??

Andrew - PG Music PG Music Staff Joined: May 2002 Posts: 6,975 Victoria, BC	Are you using Band-in-a-Box for Windows, or Mac? What types of files are you trying to open? It sounds like you are opening a compressed file like .wma perhaps? Band-in-a-Box "projects" are Band-in-a-Box song files that end in file extensions like .sgu or .mgu. Andrew PG Music Inc.

Andrew - PG Music PG Music Staff Joined: May 2002 Posts: 6,975 Victoria, BC	It sounds like you have a compressed audio file with the same name as your Band-in-a-Box song file saved in the same folder. If you have a file called MySong.SGU and another file beside it called MySong.wma for example, Band-in-a-Box will use MySong.wma as your audio track for MySong.SGU. Since Band-in-a-Box cannot work directly with compressed audio, it will automatically uncompress MySong.wma to .wav when you open the file. I'm not sure what you mean about tracks disappearing though. Andrew PG Music Inc.
