Yeah, the Mac Mini is only a good deal if all you need is the cheapest version and nothing else. They've never included any accessories with them right from day one, nearly 16 years ago I think. They were originally marketed for people wanting to upgrade, who already had keyboards/mice/monitors etc.

For running the latest version of Logic (10.6), it requires Catalina, so you'd have to look at a ~2012 Mac give or take. If you're willing to use an older version of Logic, you can go back further.

My opinion on tech is, unless you need the bleeding edge, wait. Just like how you like refurbs, you save a lot of money by not buying the latest and greatest hardware.

NI hardware is generally very good quality. Sound quality might not be as high as others, but they're typically reliable and sturdy.
