OP Jim Fogle Veteran Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 10,152 Winston-Salem, NC USA	Eddie, I wasn't able to get the laptop to go into safe mode. The laptop's version of Dell diagnostics offers multiple choices to repair Windows but going into safe mode is not one of them. Windows ignored F5 and F8 during reboot.
