It's your birthgiven right to GET A LIFE Actual song: A1: Here again behind this wall of pain My thoughts been thrown down to the drain There you stand blaming me, the things I’ve not done This is the moment showing me what’s wrong B1: What in hell should I supposed to do Listening to a jerk who don’t have a clue I gotta get out, I gotta get a life - You just don’t have any grip on me I can’t say I’m sad now when I leave Starting now, I rule my life My own life - A2: This world ain’t made to serve just only you I’m not one of those you treat as slave The bad spotlight, it shines now straight on you Be my guest, clean your own mess B2: Beware the fury of a patient man (Quote from John Dryden) That should be clear to understand I’m out, I own my life - Chain, torture, destroy, but you just can’t imprison my mind – Yeah, Gandhi was right I released it all, I gotta get a life Get my own life - During Solo: ... Oh Yeah... Watch it... ... Ha Ha Ha... ... Oh Yeah... Eat this... ... Ha Ha Ha Ha... B3: Knowing how sweet it feels to be free How long it takes all others to see? Just let go, release and get a life - Never again there’ll be a strain on me I’m ready to stand on my own two feet Released it all, I’ve got a brand new life Now I own my life - _________________________ I hope you like this tune! More shall follow in future ;-)

Interesting. The "personal journey/meditation" references set me up for something less aggressive, less angry, less dismissive and more compassionate than the lyric combined with music offer. I also expected you to play bass but you've opted for BIAB to do that. There're a lot of "slant/imperfect rhymes" in the text some work well other seem a little forced.
A solid song, the band is well augmented by your input - giving some more life and colour. The video was disappointing. I had thought it'd be something else I suppose but a lyric video is fine and dandy. You should pots this in the User Showcase section. You'll get more views and comments there. I would suggest you visit prior to posting and listen/comment on a few people's work so you set yourself up for success.

Hello rayc!!! :-D
You reside approx. right opposite side of the Tellus than I here in Northern Europe. Nice! Now I've been heard "all over the world" :-D
Thank you for your comments.
This Meditation etc. stuff I've done, has made me realize a lot of things in my life. Eg. what has happened and why, on certain surroundings I've been. I have not been "holding my side", I've let others to lead me too much. So, that is maybe the feeling of "anger" you felt in lyrics.
Well, as said, this whole song just came through me - in just three days it was ready and canned. One perspective that obviously is one driving force in this song is my friend, who died because of indifference and injustice of people around him. That left a sort of anger deep into me. I've realized it now during the meditations I've done.
Anyway, no more about that issue.
I didn't play the bass on that tune, because - in my point of view - it would have not brought any "added value" to the whole. The BIAB generated bass was very good already. So, I opted to play one more extra guitar into the mix. That sounded quite good in there :-)
About the rhymes and so... As my mother language is not English, that probably brings some "weirdness" into lyric output. That sounds through my singing/pronouncing also, I believe. And yes, "Rock Brookhill" is my artist name, not my real name. It is actually a pretty direct translation from my real name - from Finnish directly to English.
What comes to the video, I've never done those before. I searched and found OpenShot s/w from the net to do the necessary tasks. As I don't have any equipment to do "moving pictures" nor any exellence in that area, I did the video like that. Maybe later I learn and do real music video :-D
Like mentioned earlier, this is just my first everything - first "all done by me" recording, video, the whole song itself etc. and on top of that all: my first ever post in any forum ever :-D
Well, it all took me only nearly 60 years to get into this point... :-D :-D :-D
I'll go to see the User Showcase section as you suggested, rayc. Do you think it would be ok just to post this same 1st post there?
Sincerely, Rock Brookhill

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!
With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!
And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
