I am using BIAB 2022. In the notation view, the notes for bass-parts often don't show up (but does for other parts). Does notation for bass not work with Real Tracks!
To elaborate a little further, many RealTracks (which are live recordings of performances by musicians) are essentially audio files. Many of them have then had the performance transcribed into notation also, which is usually done manually.
One exception is keyboard performances which can create notation via MIDI.
The Underscore on the RealTrack name is an indicator that there is notation available. Also, in the RealTracks picker, Instruments with an "N" or "Gt" in the "Chart" column will display the RealTrack in the Notation view.
