I've always been impressed with Yamaha sounds, especially at the price point they're marketed at.

For less than $200US, can you buy a Yamaha keyboard, like the PSR-E413.

Click on the Audio tab right above the picture and listen to what this thing can produce.

For a few dollars more, you might want to step up to the PSR-E423.

If those prices are a bit too high for you, check out the YPT-310.

Check out Musician's Friend for other Yamaha Portable and Arrangers to see what else is available. There are a lot of good keyboards for less than $200US that will probably amaze you with their sound.
