A yellow sticky note would be better, but this is plenty good.
Did you try the following?

Open menu "Song". Click on the bottom item (for v6 Pro) "Song Information". This will open a window with 3 tabs: Info, Song Notes, and Track Notes. If you enter your note(s) in Song Notes (I didn't try Track Notes) and then save the project, the next time you open it, the Song Information window will open automatically on top of the project, showing the Info tab (which now includes the text that you typed in "Song Notes". If you delete the text in "Song Notes" and resave the project, the "Song Information" window will not open automatically the next time you open the project.
