Summers Dream http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=1322139&t=3235A little laidback instrumental I originally wrote on my acoustic guitar, while at a summer
beach retreat almost twenty years ago. I had previously created the basic structure
and chord progession in BIAB 2002, but the available MIDI styles at the time did not
inspire me to go much further. Well after much procrastination and some new found
inspiration from the new features and realtracks in BIAB 2010, I finally got around to
recording & mixing it recently in REAPER. Amazingly, it really sounds the way I had
first envisioned it all those years ago. Once I got the composition the way I
wanted it in BIAB 2010, I used the new DAW plugin mode to drag & drop the
realtracks (I love that new feature) into my DAW for further arranging, editing & mixing.
I ultimately replaced the RT drums with it's BIAB MIDI generated counterpart and triggered
EZdrummer (Nashville Kit) to create the exact vibe I was looking for. All of the rest
of the instruments are realtracks.
