For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

The key question that needs to be answered is how intensive will the workload be on lower ended PC's when using stem separation.

I'll wait for a few weeks to upgrade until other users chime in on the AI stuff. Not really interested on those who are running high ended units but would like to see how lower ended PC's perform.

I have just got the 2025 biab upgrade and have tried it on Dylans Blowing in the Wind.

My Desktop will be 15 years old next february, has an old quad core Athlon 945 processor with an SSD drive, it took about two minutes and twenty five seconds to create the Stems, As most users will have a more recent powerful PC, it should be a lot quicker.
Have to say I am very impressed how the upgrade is running here on this old pc

My PC specs are in my signature and I've not had any issues with the Stem Splitter.

I can tell you from using stem splitters in Song Master Pro and Presonus Studio One 7 that splitting stems takes several minutes on my rather powerful PC. It is the one audio thing I do that takes the longest time, so I don't think the times you report are unreasonably slow at all.

BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Stem splitting of a typical song takes about 20 seconds. I would say the range is 10-40 seconds.
Machines with more CPU scores are faster. My intel i7 with 14 cores takes 15 seconds on a typical 3-4 minute pop song.

I think the stem splitter is very fast I get 16-22 seconds for the 7 songs I tried so far.

Yes, it seems they are using Stems Pro from Zplane, it's really fast compared with other similar algorithms and it works great, even with older material.

Kind of surprised there isn't a Pinned announcement of the new release in this forum yet (and maybe some clean up of other pinned items).
Just mentioning .. since every regular update seems to get one

Thanks Noel. I found the real tracks. Usually the 'Real Styles' are listed with demos. Maybe they will be posted later.

Hi Mike,

The only link to demo styles that I know is the "band" demo. This demo is a rendering of the .STY file that PG Music created for a particular Realtrack. These .STY files ship with Band In A Box.

[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

There is also the below web page which gives some more information on styles. I notice that on this web page, the link to Xtra Styles Pak 19 is not yet operating, so I'm guessing that that is a work in progress and should be up and running soon. That said, I'll report it to the PG Music Team in case it is a website issue.
