I just upgraded to BIAB 2025 on top of a version 2013.  I discovered a peculiar thing regarding Realtracks Holds library. I backed up my old installation before upgrade and discovered that some files installed with version 2013 are not part of the current ver 2025 installation. I discovered because I wanted to install the Realtracks in a new folder and ran a comparison between back up and new installation. Example of files present in old Realtracks - Library - Holds folders: Holds_1 SH0001.wma SH0001+1.wma SH0001-1.wma (and corresponding btO files) The Wma files with +1 or -1 contain the same sound information as the Wma file without extension except that they are pitched a half step up or down. Same story for the other Holds folders These files are not installed with the version 2025. Are the pitched up/down files not used anymore? Br Kamilu

Hi Kamilu.
Only PG Music can really answer this question. From memory, the +/– files were used in the earlier days of Realtracks. In 2013, Realtracks were only 5 years old, and audio and computing technology wasn't as advanced as it is today.
I suggest using Live Chat (the blue circular icon on the bottom right of the monitor) to talk directly with PG Music staff.

I agree with Noel. I think the answer may turn out to be that the Elastique algorithm that is used now for pitch could have replaced the need for those files. I recall there used to be an option in the RealTracks preferences to use or not use what they called the +- files, something like that. Please post here whatever you learn from PG Music.
