Has anyone uploaded Biab song files (numerous Biab format songs) that they have shared with the members of the forum? It's been a long time since getting back into Biab and I am searching for some newer songs, both literally new songs and re-made songs. Looking for songs that have been updated (new or old) as well, the songs that are now using the newer Biab features with RT's, Loops, enhanced Midi/Melodist/Soloist type files.

I am still using Biab 2015 version on Win 10, so I am WAYYYY behind the curve with all of the exciting new features and would like to hear just how improved a song with the new features compares to the old version(s). I do have the old Allanah Biab collection of songs from back in the day.

I have joined Dropbox and can access uploads from there.

Thanks,

Trax

Trax,
The User Showcase has many links to BIAB songs, although they generally use Sound Cloud or similar rather than Drop Box which is more a file-sharing service. Presumably you are looking to download SGU / MGU files that users have uploaded?

Do a Google search for 'shared BIAB songs'. There should be several links. A quick search revealed this web site as an example.

For sharing files, Dropbox is as good as any, better than most. Be careful of the privileges, however. Giving upload privileges to a folder or file also gives someone the ability to edit and delete. I will share a folder with two sub-folders—one for uploading and the other for downloading only without the ability to delete.

Audio,

Once again you have made my night, thank you !

I like using Biab mgu/sgu for backing chords and ideas. My favorite part about Biab is to take a song and change it up with a different feel, style and adding in some extra parts.

I use Biab 99.9% for my own gratification at home. I love music and normally don't sing/karaoke etc I DO love to change up songs I'm fond of and see what I can come up with Biab.

Thanks again.

And for people who may be lurking in these PG Forums, WE have the absolute BEST people who frequent this site that do NOT hesitate to share their knowledge about Biab, Computer Problems, Songwriting and decades of experience that they freely share because we all simply love music. Don't hesitate to try Biab and join this community. I've been a part of it since around 1992.

Trax

Mike,

Thank you for the valuable advice. We do have to be careful when uploading anything and don't want any problems with others accessing our files.

I appreciate the advice,

Trax

I have been using Box.com for quite a while now. It's pretty straightforward and lets you share songs in WAV format with listeners who have the link.

I've also used it when collaborating with cowriters on various projects.
