Thought I was hearing your trusty D-18 in the opening, but that must have been the baritone acoustic. That long, held pedal steel creates a really nice atmospheric vibe, too. Anyway...superb song! Some favourite Waoist Adages: #1: Play on the Way. #13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you. #58: Bring consciousness to it. #63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made. #92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.

The lovely vocal arrangement made us feel the melancholy of the California dream being just a dream. This one again reminds us of Daniel Lanois productions. The song breathes so well. Love the baritone guitar and that pedal steel so well captures the narrative's vibe. The mix you wrapped it all in is excellent ... that bass cuts perfectly as does the snare.
