Down The Road Of Life This song is about as old as Band in a Box, and this version is almost as new. I usually play at least bass on these recordings, but I like the way Toban Frank's RT worked. I just sang on this one. Comments are always welcomed. A nice song. The BIAB backing works well and is nicely mixed.
You have a cool vocal style. You might consider pulling down some of the high EQ or apply a de-esser to eliminate the accentuated "s" sounds.

Your enthusiasm comes through on the vocal. As floyd jane mentioned, it could use a touch of taming.
But a very enjoyable song, with a good arrangement.

Very well put together song with all the structural elements clicking. There's nothing "generic" about your vocals. You have a quite singular and unique delivery...and that is no back-handed compliment. I enjoyed the listen very much.

Cool song. You should spend a little time managing the esses and tch & Ts though. It's quite difficult to get a de-esser that will focus on all three and an attempt to cover them all seems to kill the "air" and shine of a vocal. If you use a DAW other than RealBand or Audacity you'll find a couple of cool ways to deal with the issues transparently.
the narrative, the vocal performance and whole package certainly make it worth that little extra effort.

Thanks so much, rayc. I'm using the free version of Cakewalk. You're right about the deesser taking out all the air, but I'm working on it. This tune was one of the first, and I haven't reopened it to fix it yet. Some of the others were crying out more. Vocals (and I'm not a singer) and solos take up at least 80% of the time creating these songs. Thanks.
