Busting A Move

I drank a bottle of Geritol then had a couple of cups of coffee and came up with this little ditty....just kidding!

Just me having some fun. Note that I couldn't come up with a title for this song so I just borrowed the styles' name!

BiaB style = Bust A Move MIDI Classic Funk
Tempo = 110 BPM

I only kept the bass, drums, and percussion from this style. I did modify these tracks slightly to better the song.
Bass - Ample Bass - JazzII
Drums - Steven Slate's SSD - Funk 2 kit
Percussion - various Kontakt patches
Hand Claps - UVI Workstation - GM - standard drum kit
Me - Keyboard - Swam Alto sax and UVI Workstation - B5II (B3 organ)
Me - rhythm and lead guitars

A number of effects where also used in this song.

PS - After I posted this a saw that it need more.......guess what!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

I had to go to Google to find out what Geritol was. Apparently it's for geriatrics so it might be tad too strong for you, Mario. Nevertheless, it seems to have worked on this occasion and you 'ditty' works well on all fronts (sax could be a little more up-front though).

My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile smile

That woke me up. I need some of that Geritol!

Mario,
Catchy stuff. Nice work on the sax and lead! Excellent arrangement and mix. 2 spins, listens very well!
Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Me too. Interesting way to get inspired ;-)

I really like the set in of the electric guitar at 1:06.

I also detect a Wah-wah pedal. Is that an RT or are you playing it yourself?

Yeah, Mario busting a move. Gotta hear that!! FUN-KEY. You always do a terrific job of getting all the right players to present your tunes in such a polished way. Geritol! Haha. The ads always reminded me of Traveling Joe's Magic Elixir that cures everything. WC Fields claimed, "It cures hoarseness. Well, this song will cure many things, especially ailments of mood. A cool funky sound, Mario.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanx so much for listening and commenting.

Thanx Rob for commenting.

Yes that is my on the wah-wah. Actually I am using Amplitube 5 amp sym that I added a wah-wah to it. I am controlling the pedal with the same X-15 foot board that I use with my MIDI sounds.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanx David. The bass is straight from BiaB, I only modified the ending.

Funky!

Man! that Bass sounds good!

Well mixed.

(had to google Geritol - to see if they still sell it - haven't heard mention of it in a long time...Of course, I haven't watch The Lawrence Welk Show in a long time, either smile )

Gotta go take a nap now.

Thanx Floyd. That bass is straight from BiaB and all I modified was the ending.

So they still sell Geritol? I have no idea!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
