Hi Bernard.
First of all, yes it plays OK with no problem.
There's a lot of potential to create a good song here, but for me, the mix could maybe use a little work. The whole mix sounds very heavy on the low frequencies as though you've possibly mixed it on small computer speakers. If I turn down the bass and bring up the treble, the track starts to come to life.
I would perhaps like to see the voice and the drums louder and the mix brightened up a bit. The track could work well and I particularly liked the sax.
ROG.

Hello Rog,
First of all thanks for your reaction and good advice.. I know myself that the mixing should be better, I have only used Biab, not changing much of the actual recording. Because it has been made and recorded on Biab, I have the guitar intro and the voice recording on the same track and this is where the problem comes from. Next time I will do the recording on RB using different tracks. Basically what I wanted to do was creating a song, writing directly the words on the chord sheet as now allowed by Biab 2016. This is why the text are short (!). But it works... and it is real fun! So, I will strike back soon! Bernard

Hi Bernard. There is some nice stuff here!! The song rolls along very nicely. Can't comment on the lyrics (I'm English only) but the music has a real nice groove. Sax could use some reverb-it fits very nicely into the tune. Enjoyed it! Take care. Greg

Salut Bernard.
If you try to work in Realband, you will find mixing much easier. You can also, as you say, add vocals and any additional instruments on separate tracks. Realband is very powerful and takes time to learn, but it is well worth it.
If you need any help with learning Realband, there are lots of people here who can offer guidance.
Cheers, ROG.

A good first effort, Bernard. Very melodic and nice group of instruments.
Some mixing tweaks as ROG has mentioned - and this will shine.
Pleasant singing voice.

Hello Bernard,
Very nice song, we agree with most of the comments. The effect you're trying to achieve with turning down or up the bass/treble button can be easily accomplished by using a vst plug in like 'Classic EQ' for instance.
By the way it's kinda custom here on the forum, to list all used Realtracks.
Kind regards, Rob and Anne-Marie

As already explained, I just wanted to try and use the new feature of writing directly a text into the chord sheet and I only used an available song (Folkpopprairie) _PRAIRPN RT70 2012.12, just changing a few chords.
the instruments are: RealTracks in song: ~~2483:Bass, Acoustic, Bowed HeldSimple Ev 085 RealTracks in style: 887:Piano, Acoustic, Solo-Accompaniment FolkPopPrairie Ev 100 RealTracks in song: ~689:Organ, B3, Background Pop Ev 085 RealTracks in song: 587:Sax, Tenor, 2-Beat Rock Ev 110 RealDrums in Song: JazzEven8: a: HiHat, Kick b: Snare, Ride ******************* Bernard

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
