Dear Forum Friends, I hope this finds you all safe and well. You'll either love or hate our new song "Half a Million Gone" . We usually write upbeat, optimistic songs, but we felt we had to comment on the pandemic crisis. On Feb 22, 2021, the death toll from the COVID pandemic reached 500,000 in the US. This was one day after the passing a close friend. These two events drove home the impact this terrible, senseless disease has brought to the world, my nation, and finally me. It had become all too real for me to merely cope with and complain about. I had to capture my thoughts and feelings in music to begin my healing process. I'll post the Soundcloud link in a few days. Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
