Not a new request, but as it came up today, I thought I would make another attempt.
The workaround is to lower the volume of a track to zero, but why can’t the Mute status of a track be saved?

Perhaps best not to piggy-back on the request, so we keep it direct and simple. To save Solos, can't you just freeze the track? If I'm not understanding the request, you could start another thread.

Matt, to me Mutes are reversed Solos. I do not separate them It is like a mirror and reflection. But it is your thread, so sure: +1 for Preserve Mute status.

OH - my mistake! You are right. I thought you meant solos as in playing a solo, like a RealTrack soloist. But you mean the Solo button in the mixer, right next to the Mute button.
Yes - you are absolutely correct, and thank you. The status of the Mute and Solo buttons should both be saved with the song.

+1 for saving the status of both the MUTE and SOLO buttons when a song file is saved.
Questions for clarification:
1) If the checkbox for center panning and tone is enabled, should that make a difference in the save status of the MUTE and SOLO buttons?
2) Should it make a difference in the save status of the MUTE and SOLO buttons if any of the song file "Save Special" options are used?

Interesting.
For both, I think No.
Center, flat, dry is for exporting to a DAW and I don’t see the relevance. I’m talking about a simple save and reload of the file in BIAB.
I would have to do some experiments, but I think when saving to MIDI or XML, you get everything. Then you make the adjustments in the other program that loads those files.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
