Lot's of people in this forum discuss the instrumental aspects of Band in a Box which in itself is great. Some folks use it for jamming, some for music instruction and theory, some to help with their playing and some for songwriting. But I don't hear many subjects focused on singing. Especially RnB. If you saw my testimonial on the PG Music site you'll notice that I didn't hesitate to point that out (albeit softly) LOL Well I have used BIAB in RnB compositions to work out chords. transitions and ESPECIALLY KEY which has helps with my overall writing. Suggestion: Try to lay out your song and chords against a steady 8th or 16th backbeat with more sustained chords and it will definitely help you work out the song because you won't have as many busy parts in the background to distract you. Then when you get the overall feel you can add the other parts. Also if you're doing RnB you will definitely need Strings. RnB loves strings. Also Horns if you can find some that fit. As usual I always try to give examples of what I write in this forum. I wrote this song using BIAB to work out the chords a couple of years ago but I wanted more RnB sound so I used my sample library to put the music together. Solid advise. I've tended to get too attached to the "busy parts" so much so that I am loathe to regenerate for a key change for fear of loosing them. I like a little "busy" to have something to write against, but too much makes it near impossible to write, for me.
Excellent sample as well. Nice and smooth atop that syncopation.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
