It sure seems odd that when they ask for beta testers in the Windows forum there is a lineup of a bunch of people, probably 25 or so. So far I see one person expressed interest. In my limited experience with quad - No. But that answer is ONLY the answer to this specific Q, I can think of 25 other good reasons to go quad. What you will need for BIAB is a giant harddrive, internal or external, slow or fast doesn't make much difference in this case, but large. But think thru what you are planning to do and bide your time until we know what the new versions contain of in just a couple of weeks. If you would force me to buy TODAY, I would consider Paralell desktops and the new Windoze version on the Mac... wonky Newbie Joined: May 2009 Posts: 14 Maryland	I'm running with an Intel core2 duo, and BIAB 2009.5 runs very fast on my machine, even when running other applications simultaneously; such as Guitar Rig4, for example. Where a quad processor truly comes in handy is with very intensive programs such as video editing/rendering or rendering of animation, and in Logic Pro when working with multitrack recordings.
