Hi everyone, This song was partially based on some medicall experiences I had last year. But all I sing here did not happen! Well..., the part about my wife is true And also the duration of my recovery... And it also has nothing to do with the return of a mummy... It is called You Came Back, https://on.soundcloud.com/qQfgkBut because I was glad to leave some nasty things behind I made a song with a beat! Hope you like it! Hans ============== The lyrics: You came back HWBerkhout (c) 020424 It was a lovely sunny day, so we went shopping in the city mall I didn’t hear it coming, but I woke up in a hospital Vaguely, I could see my hands, they were bandaged and I think all of me too Footsteps coming my way I feared some bad news about you... Chorus But when I heard that voice right behind me Oh I... I was in heaven To hear this sound is some sensation The one I love came back It took some time to recover But I was happy we both survived Oh, I missed you the days you could not come to visit me Chorus But when I heard that voice right behind me Oh I... I was in heaven To hear this sound is some sensation The one I love came back Solo Chorus When I hear that voice right behind me Oh I... I am in heaven To hear this sound is some sensation The one I love came back I came home more or less the one I was But my eyes... healed enough to gaze at you Chorus 2x And when I hear that voice right behind me Oh I... I am in heaven To hear this sound is some sensation The one I love came back Oh, when I hear that voice right behind me Oh I... know it is you To hear this sound is some sensation And now you came back to me And the technicall stuff ============================================================= Style is _FACULA.STY (Facula Driving Slow Rock) RealTracks in style: 1522:Bass, Electric RealTracks in song: 3261:Cello, Rhythm CelticReelChopping RealTracks in song: 4581:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm RealTracks in song 2x: 4157:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm RealTracks in song: 4584:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopMotionHeldSpaceySynth ev 100 RealTracks in song: 2687:Guitar, Electric, Soloist Blues RealDrums in Song:FunkDisco: a: Kick, HiHat b: Kick, Closing HiHat Keyboards: NI Mallets / Piano Colors

Glad you made it through whatever happened - it gave the rest of us a chance to hear some of your good music. I really liked the beat on this one, and I too thought it was a great lead guitar you placed in there. I had a similar experience in an emergency room one day, and your chorus really nailed how I felt when I awoke and first heard my wife's voice behind me. Good stuff Birchwood.

So much great art is born of adversity...glad you came out of it with a song! Yeah, that backing track just percolates along, but I love all the little stutters and gear changes. And REALLY love the way you've processed your fine vocals on this one. Just a perfect synthesis of music and storytelling.

Hello Floyd, Brad and Ron, Thank you for your very nice posts! Hans, Very cool opening. Excellent BAND. The solo is good. Good Mix. Cool vocals. Brad Brad, thanks for these nice words! The chorus was pretty much how I felt (and sometimes still do). What nice (in a way) you had that experience too. I like that idea, thanks! So much great art is born of adversity...glad you came out of it with a song! Yeah, that backing track just percolates along, but I love all the little stutters and gear changes. And REALLY love the way you've processed your fine vocals on this one. Just a perfect synthesis of music and storytelling. Ron, There is a saying about sadness and creativity. They often go together... More than joy and creativity. But I prefer joy in my life ;-) Thanks for listening, Hans

Beautiful sounds. Hans. A cool song of what's important in life. The lyrics paint a picture of love and happiness in a very deep level devoid of time and space. Yeah, that's it!! Happy for you both!!

Hi Bob, Torrey and Brain, Thanks for your positive coments on this song! I had no accident as in the song, but something nasty with my throat. I was the second one in my country to undergo that operation, so a little shaky. It will take a year to recover... so I'm half way now. What I suffered was too complicated to sing about, therefore I chose that accident. The chorus was -more or less- true Hans, Excellent song, vocals and production. Love the mix. Glad you are on the mend! Bob Hans, It's a powerful, solid sounding song! Your vocals are wonderful and your sound is great mix and final product is excellent! The guitar parts sound great! Second listen on this one Hans. Very cool intro. What a cool groove to this tune. I think the bass lines and hihat really contributed to the groove.. Excellent vocal and lyric. Masterful production and mix. Well done..

Hi, Hans. Nice vibe! Sounds very cool - as Vic says, "Good production". Glad you're doing OK. Real life is rarely simple enough to write out "As Is" - it makes much more sense to edit out the "unimportant" details.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
