Just Having Fun - 2

Every once in a while I come across a Band-in-a-Box style that I just have to jam with. This is one of those styles.

BiaB style - Funk at T70 - Slow Funk
Tempo - 70 BPM

I deleted the guitar and strings
Drums - RD from style
Bass - Synthmaster 2 - preset - BA GOA Standard
Piano - Arturia Farfisa - preset Phased Tones

I am playing the guitar and via my breath and keyboard controllers the tenor sax.

As usual all comments are welcomed.

Mario,

This is EXCELLENT! A very cool cross between funk & jazz. The drums are great and that tenor sax is truly outstanding. Love the mix.

A new favorite!

Hi mario,

I really like this - Funk with a calm attitude. Catchy beat and playing. Cool song! Nicely done!

Take care,

Alan

Cool little jam you got going on here!
It just shows how a little exploration of BIAB can lead to creativity!

Mario, cool jam for sure! Very convincing funky sax. Love your guitar work as well, especially the double stops early and the bends later on. Just some really nice pacing of instruments and what they played throughout. Oh, and the brief duet was nice, too! Will have to check out that RT.

Thanx so much Bob. Those Swam instruments coupled with either a breath, wind, or keyboard controller with a expression pedal can sound really good.

Thanx Floyd, Yes it was those RD that got my attention in this style. I'm glad you liked it.

Thanx Torrey. Yes BiaB has a lot going for it when it comes to styles. This was a case where just listening to different styles lead to this song.

Than Ron. There are a number of different Saxes in the Swam Sax VSTi. Plus they all have a number of nuances one can add via CCs. I'm still learning!

Mr. Mario D,

This is a special notification alert from Big Brother.

It looks like you've been spending an awful lot of time "just having fun."

As a matter of fact it seems that you don't do anything but sit around "just having fun". We sent you an official government notification two weeks ago that you had reached your maximum amount of time for "just having fun."

And yet there you sit, smiling away, holding your guitar, "just having fun."

Are we to believe that you are not taking us seriously??

Are you going to continue to tell all of your comrades on this forum that the whole purpose of life is "just having fun" when we have serious work ahead of us controlling the narrative and forcing the agenda?

For the record, you seem to be wildly influencing public enemy number one whose name is David Snyder who is your biggest fan and who has gone completely AWOL and off the wall. At this point we hold you solely responsible for creating this musical Frankenstein who has become a dangerous threat to our narrative, our agenda and our way of life.

This is your last warning. Stop all of this talk about just having fun.

I don't know what genre it is or if it even exists, but it sounds cool.
By the way, you don't always have to mention that you're having fun ... I think we all have fun when we make music.
That's the only thing that matters.

Memo from the Federal Department of Just Having Fun, FDJHF.

Mr. David Snyder has gone into hiding after hearing Mr. DeLaura's song "Just Having Fun - 2". An all out bulletin for Mr. Snyder is in effect. Warning all agents as Mr. Snyder maybe armed with hilarious satire so proceed with caution. Unbeknown to Mr. Synder is the fact that Mr. DeLaura is the head of the FDJHF. Mr. DeLaura would like to say thank you for listening Mr. Snyder however Mr. DeLaura will never stop just having fun. When Mr. Snyder is apprehended Mr. DeLaura would like to say Na Na Na Na Na Na!

Thanx so much. When ever I can't come up with a clever song title and theme I just call my songs just having fun.

Oh, know what you mean about jamming with The Box. So many times while searching for Styles I just have to reach for guitar or bass. Great jam, brother. Love the guitar parts especially.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanx Marty. The next time you grab your guitar or bass record it! I'm sure you will come up with some remarkable songs.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
