OP Boca Bob Enthusiast B Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 49 South Florida	I make song sets (.fso), such as set 1, set 2, etc. and every now and then when I load one of them, half of the songs in the set cannot be found and are listed as "N/A... how high the moon," etc. It's been happening a long time, as in a couple of years (different computers). I'm running a new laptop pc with i7, 16gb memory, SSD, and totally updated operating system and BBW 2024 (64 bit) also updated. This is my only, and biggest gripe with BBW!

OP Boca Bob Enthusiast B Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 49 South Florida	Restarting BBW or the pc/laptop doesn't EVER fix it. I have to manually go in and reload each song that it "couldn't find," and then delete the ones that have "N/A" before them. Since I'm working on sets to play live, the easiest way to do this is to click on the "recently played" and add each one using the "Add Fav" button. Then click back on the "Favorites" button and delete the ones marked "N/A." Of course, the ones I add back in from the "Recently Played" button are the same ones it can't find. Go figure. This was also the situation when I used BBW 2023. I'm open to any and all suggestions!

Noel96 Veteran Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 18,892 Australia	Hi Bob, Thanks for the extra information. That would be most frustrating for you. Are you running BIAB from the USB drive? Also, with your songs, does each song have it's own folder or are the songs folder sets that parallel the song sets? Lastly, have you tried saving each set twice with slightly different names (e.g. set1.fso and set1(copy).fso) That way, at least, if things go haywire, it would be possible to load in a back up copy of the set and then save it. Andrew - PG Music PG Music Staff Joined: May 2002 Posts: 6,974 Victoria, BC	It looks like there is a bug where in some cases the full file path is not saved correctly. We will look into that further. As a work-around, it should work consistently if you save your songs in the C:\bb:\Songs folder, or in subfolders within that folder. Andrew PG Music Inc.

OP Boca Bob Enthusiast B Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 49 South Florida	Thanks for your help. They are all contained in various sub folders under C:\bb:\Songs folder. It doesn't happen right away. Sometimes it takes a few days. And it's not always the same set.fso. I have about ten different song sets (.fso), and it can be any one of them. I just love troubleshooting intermittent problems, don't you?!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
