When I posted the first I didn't have time to write what I wanted as the wife was waiting on me to go out.
I have 175 and counting just like it. They are mixed mono and for live not so much so sitting down and listening. I rough things out in BIAB and then do the rest in RB. They are all RTs except:
1. the vocals of course
2. I play bass
3. I've EG'd the Real Drums to cut out the kick and then I've added my own kick to work better with the bass. I have a post in the tips forum on this.

I left the countin 'cause these again are for live.

I really do appreciate the comments good or bad. At sixty my ego is certainly gone so I can take it.

Hi John,

I've just had an exceptionally enjoyable 10 minutes listening to your latest three songs. You've sure got a great sound happening. While I liked all your songs, my favorite is "The Fireman". I've never heard this one before. You sing it like you really enjoy this song.

Great stuff!
Noel

You are having fun and it shows. Excellent mixes here. The backing tracks are perfect for your voice.

Always on My Mind is one of my favorite songs and you did one fantastic job on it. Fireman is a new one to me but it sounded great as did Be My Baby.

To really nit-pick again Be My Baby need the harmonies and the second vocal part IMHO. However as you initially stated these are your backing tracks for you live shows and for that everything is perfect. Have you ever considered putting a couple of these in RB again, putting the instruments in a stereo field and adding harmonies? Just a thought. BUT even if you don’t these are still going into my keeper folder.

GREAT music and a super vox. Two thumbs up on each one.

Mario & others thanks.
Yes absolutely harmonies are needed. I used to use a Vocalist to do that. I am considering just signing in the parts for live. Not sure yet. I'm also thinking about finding the right person that sins and plays to do a duo. The most important thing though is to move back somewhere were there more opportunities.

Agree 100% - you've made some excellent backing tracks. Clean great sounding mixes. Super job using the rts John - you put a lot of work into those and it definately shows. Well done.

Nothing to pick on here, great job. All I'd ask is you give us some kind of idea regarding the styles and realtracks you used.

Good stuff!

As I said I play bass, do my own custom kick drum the rest I'll give the RT #s . I don't use any styles. I just add individual RTs.

John,

Thanks for the background on these tunes. The information you provided is very helpful as like many I save info like this just in case I am looking for a particular sound/style down the road.

PS: Like the rest I was particular impressed with your rendition of George Strait's The Fireman.

Thanks again,

G'day Silvertones,

Fireman ... neat :-)

I'd bring your vocals up in the mix a bit.

Regards

It´s amazing what BIAB can do to ones songs, it sounded like a studio-recording, at least in my ears.

I really liked "Don´t close your eyes" but "Fireman" was a good one too. The other two weren´t as good, but that just my opinion.

And thanks for providing info about the backgrounds to your recordings, it helps newbies like me...

Keep up...!

Hi John,

I can't get to your songs. It sez "connection reset". I'm running xp sp3, firefox with high security. Any Ideas about what I need to do?

Thanks
Jim

I'd be completely happy if I had just one more guitar.

Hey Jim
I just tried the link and it's fine. I only have dialup and it still loaded.
You probably have too much security crap running.

Okay,
Hold on folks, here comes a dummies question. Is there a way to post my music on the forum if I don't have a website? Can I just download an MP3 or something?

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
