I'm working on a comedy CD for boaters. Then I will do some more comedy songs for the general public.
I'm looking for a name. Weird Al is taken so I don't think Weird Ed will fly. Crazy Ed? Poop deck Ed? Anyone got an idea I'm stumped?
Also I'm going to do a few youtube videos to promote it. Do you think I should develop a siqnature outfit like some others do, or should I just let the song speak for itself. Any ideas would be welcome.

There's only one person on this forum who is degenerated enough to give you a sound advice on this one: Filkertom. He is the one to turn to when absurd and surrealistic humor is needed My advise would be: Bob Ahab and the Whalers

Well I get the geography but don't know if it counts...
Ed terry errie errie -o.
Wow
Eh list ed.
Har Har bore front.
Not so honest Ed.
Toronto Star-board.
Port Ed Thor-aty.
The Queen of Qua y.
My Grandfather took care of a 'slow' fella in Lindsay when he fixed steam engines for the CN. They take the train on his pass to Toronto, and get off at Union. The porter says to Billy, "King Edward Sir?" , at which point Billy looks at the porter and says, "Nope, just plain ol' Billy from Lindsay..."
How about Rochdale College dropout?...just 'cause I lived behind it in 1968....
The Pirate of Parkdale...did you fall through the crack?
Exit..stage left...
btw, if I win a lottery...(have to buy tickets and don't), I get a waterfront condo....and a place in Muskoka...and somewhere very very warm....it FREAKing SNOWed today....

somehow my geographical names need to get married with the others.
As I said, at least I know the geography!
Of course it has been said by Europeans.... Canada, not enough history and way too much geography.
When is the boat show this year? I always went, 20 years or so ago. I wanted to go to the Royal (Royal Agricultural Winter Fair) this weekend or next, but I'm still having huge issues with nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) so my feet feel like I'm walking on broken glass ..My hands are numb...etc.) so I'm staying on one floor of the house mostly.
I've been trying very hard to come through with the Autumn Leaves challenge I threw down, but so far no bananna.
25 years ago or so I had 2 clients I wrote Xenix databases for at the boat show...one from Lake Simcoe and one from Grand Bend. Long time ago that.....
I wish I was at the market tomorrow morning, ...I mean in a few hours.. Last time we were there I went to St. Lawrence until noon and then Kensington for the rest of the day...supper in Chinatown. Toronto makes London seem like a year in a convent.

Lotsa good stuff here. I liked an entry in your first comment - Poop Deck Ed Tales of the Jetty (thanks to Don for the "Jetty" idea) by Poop Deck Eddy Tales of the Head by Poop Deck Ed I think you need your name in there Ed "Poop Deck" seems to have just the right level of irreverence. Bilge Water Ed, Spinnaker Ed. "Bilge" might fit the nature of the parody songs - no insult intended. I wish you luck on this venture, Ed - sounds like a good time. Ian Danny C - just noticed you entered "bilge" while I was typing.

ed, are we talkin' power boats or sailing craft? i've seen some naughty nautical ones but refrain cuz of the mixed audience. cantankerous crazy canucks and marginally sane brits and ozzies.
how 'bout harbo(u)r resentment; harbor disease; canoe swim; canoe tread water; canoe cut bait; harbor grudge; garborg keys; eddy's keys; astrolabe ed; safe sextant; opposite sextant; canoe snuka norsk; etc.
watdid i win?

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
