Hi to all,
I am having some problems with using my Tascam US-144 (NOT the MKII) when using certain utilities in BIAB and Realband.

I have already contacted the tech support and they are looking into it but I was wondering if there are users of BIAB that do have the same US-144 and using it without problems with BIAB and RB.

Would love to know how you have set all configurations using Windows XP Professional (32 bit).

I have used the US-144 without any problems with other music related programs such as, Cakewalk, Guitar Rig 3 and 4, kore player, kontact 4.... so I know that I have set up correctly for all of these applications.

In BIAB audio and midi preferences I have set the US-144 as a default device and ticked "use vst/dxi synth"
BIAB plays OK on the main window... the chords show up, the chord field scrolls with the music and I can hear the midi and the realtrack audio just fine BUT.... when I click on the "P" icon, click on "Pitch Invasion" and start the game, there is NO Sound of the actual pitch that I meant to hear... I can hear the sound when I press the Z and B keys on the PC keyboard and can also hear the sound of the Alian's Ship destroyng the different instruments at the bottom of the screen.

This kind of problem exists also on other plugins within BIAB.

Now, if I use the Pc Soundcard (Realtek AC97 Audio) and connect the speakers to its output, then I have no problems.

I need to use the US-144 so that I can record my guitar and vocals.

Any help Will be appreciated.

Wow...

Nobody is able to help me? I am surprised!

Another thing that I found out is that RealBand is also giving me problem whe I use the Tascam US-144 with its ASIO driver... I am able to hear the raw sound of the my guitar while recording quite clear but on replay it is very distorted!

If on the other hand I select the MME driver, I can hear the replay quite clear BUT... then I have no way of monitoring my live recording.
Also, when I use Guitar Rig 3, and try to alter its settings during replay, I get some warnings from windows allert boxes saying that there might be some problems doing the editing.

It seems that I cannot win either way!

Unfortunately it looke like that I will have to ask for my money back.

Sorry you are having problems. I did not try to help because I do not have that same equipment, and no longer use Windows XP. Your Tascam unit is discontinued, but they seem to have kept up on drivers; have you installed the latest one from here? http://tascam.com/product/us-144/downloads/

That's good you know about the 30-day money-back, but you should call PG Music Support and get their help directly.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
