my drums are suddenly missing!
Everything's been fine for several years ...then...all the drum stuff is missing. I get the following complaint "warning, your current drum drum kit has no bass note assigned".
It then goes on to list each aspect of the drum kit that is missing as I click "o.k." on each error message pop-up.
THis was working fine...then this...what could cause this?

Hi pual58,
There is a quick fix for this:
1. Click on Opt. | MIDI/Audio Driver Setup...
2. Look in the top-right of the window that opens where it says "Synthesizer / Sound Card"
3. Click on this (it probably has "General MIDI Instrument Misc" selected) and choose something different. It doesn't matter what, just something different.
4. Now click again and choose "General MIDI..." or whatever was there before.
5. Click OK, and when asked "OK to install ... DK file" choose Yes.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
