I can't get a smooth transition using the mode Now and stay in time. There is a pause . Is this a latency issue or does anyone have any suggestions?
Also I have seen a lack of consistency. I tried to test out different scenarios. Going back to the 1st chorus seems ok and jump ahead to last chorus (at next part marker) ( or Chorus). A problem occurs when commanding an end. The default button is 6 but sometimes 6 would say last chorus instead of end. I closed out the song and rebooted.I can't pin down what fixed it or started the problem again.
I just wondered if it was just me and my settings or if others have had problems with the conductor.

Glad Conductor has come up again. I'm using BIAB (2011.5) live and a sax player friend sat in with us last night at a small winery gig. He's a 20+ year pro, UNT background, "real-deal", etc. , and we had a fun night. He loved the Realtracks sounds (via Mackie) and swinging grooves. Would have been absolutely perfect if Conductor worked with Realtracks as we could have changed the number of choruses in real time to accommodate a new player.
I would think a revamped Conductor with an HMI redesign with live gigging players in mind could be viewed as a valuable BIAB upgrade. Would most certainly be on my Xmas list.
Thanks

The improvement that tops my wishlist is an upgraded Conductor that would work well with realtracks. This would make BIAB so much more viable for jazz gigs.

I would be satisfied if they just fixed the conductor so it would properly receive midi commands from the keyboard. Nudge Kent.... he has documented this bug, and says it would be fixed in the next upgrade... several upgrades ago.

Thanks for responding, Peter. I don't have time to type out the problem in detail, so I have forwarded a series of emails between myself and Kent, from last July, which serve to nail down the problem. I just sent them to support@pgmusic.com.

I still suspect I have settings problems. The PG Music software has been excellent. I have been using it off and on for almost it's beginning . At least I remember using it on windows 3. Anyway I have found the problems I have encountered were the result of incorrect settings on my part. Unfortunately I don't have a full understanding of the Audio settings so there in lies the real problem. My PC is a 3.5 GHZ 6 core with 8g memory so I have enough horsepower. I'm running Win 7 64. Other than the conductor and a minor notation issue BIAB has worked great. I use it more since the realtracks came on. I really would like to get the conductor to work right but I don't know what changes to make.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
