I did the opposite - I put some beautiful Oklahoma sunset pictures to my music. If you have 7:25 to spare, please squint your good eye here:

Eat your 'art out, Steven Spielberg!

Are we 'aving fun yet?

Somebody shoulda told me that it takes two hours to upload 7+ minutes of video!

Critiques, please.

Very nice Don - sort of a trilogy with the songs. I might have split them up as people's attention spans are short.... but really fine job. Pretty pictures and very nice music to go along with them.

Congratulations, Don!

I've shared it on Facebook - maybe it will go viral?

nice job, Don.. I love the pics and your arrangements.

However, I think that "internet clickpast" is such a strong force to overcome, it's generally a good idea to make a separate video for each song. Most people won't listen all the way through one song.... I would guess that all but your friends will click away before the end of a 7 minute multi-song video. (put me on the friend list)

which video software did you end up using?

Pat, I used Windows Live Movie Maker. It came with Win 7. (Good Oyrish name, btw). Actually, there are only two tunes there. One's 3+ and one's 4+ minutes.

Don,

Very nice photos and music.

I enjoyed the second song with the sunsets.

This is a lot of work to do and you did a nice job.

+1. I wonder what Graham (Furry) would do? He has a lot of experience with putting videos to music and putting them on YouTube. Maybe send him a PM?

Don.

One of these days I'm gonna come to the US, buy a Harley and do a tour. Oklahoma's just been added to the route. Can you guarantee the sunsets?

Great job Don, what county in ireland did your ancesters come from I wonder?

I think making a music video nowadays can be as hard or as easy as you want it to be as most video software has an auto produce feature where you just load a lot of pics and it will do the zooming and other things for you.

I use muvee auto producer usually works out ok and only takes a few mins to add the pics to a song.

Thanks, Musiclover, much appreciated.

My same Canadian cousin, Helen, is compiling The Gaynor Family History. She knows where in Ireland my grandparents were from. My parents were one generation removed, as they say. Both were Canucks, born in Moncton, NB where Helen and most of my relations still live.

I used Windows Live Movie Maker which has that "auto movie" feature you mentioned. It also makes the music end on the last picture automagically. Kinda handy.

ROG, you will fit right in with my group of Okie friends, they all take weekend motorcycle trips. Even Valerie, the photographer, has a monster bike and they know the most scenic routes. They are not rowdy types so you would have clean fun suitable for the whole family.

Incidentally, many of those photos were shot from Valerie's kitchen window.

I think I can guarantee the sunset and I know, without a doubt, that I can guarantee a "cupa!" I am 30 miles South of Tulsa on Hwy 75. As they say down here: "I'll leave the laht ouhn fer'ya!"

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
