Is it possible to make a harmony using GM2 sounds? I am wanting to use 40/3 Attack Pulse as the melody instrument and 91 Metheny as the harmony; but Metheny defaults the melody to Jazz Guitar on rendering. Any ideas how to get around this? I am using soft synths. Thanking you in advance... LFU2

I like U2 a bit. I would reply to someone more careful with a name which for some reason has to be a no name. I was going to use 007 but found it somewhat used. Maybe someone else can help FUtwo.

Me too, John, but I never took it to a level that I'd consider to be INXS..... that can interfere with REM sleep.
And if I had any idea what you were talking about I would help if I could. 40/3 Attack Pulse? That sounds like either a handgun or a game controller. 91 Matheny? Pat Matheny comes to your house?
(Apparently those are styles or something?)
I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.
1. How much did you make in 2023? 2. Send it to us.

The Metheny harmony directly sets the melody patch to the Jazz Guitar (as you note). One way around this is to edit the harmony itself. Harmony => "Edit current Harmonies File". In the Harmony Maker, set the melody patch to "no patch change." Or you could define a new harmony configured the same way. (There are copy and paste functions in the Harmony Maker.) Now you can choose the GM2 patch for the melody in the main window, and let the harmony file control everything else. Be sure the style is not controlling the melody patch.
Note that while you can assign a GM2 patch to the melody part from the main window, you can't choose a GM2 patch in the Harmony Maker window. So, no, the actual harmony voice(s) can not be GM2 higher bank, (but you can still do what you want.
I've noted another deficiency in GM2 implementation elsewhere, and reported it to support. No response yet.) HTH, -Ron

My attack pulse Unit was the newer model with crossed x es. I can assure you it runs best on 3 flats, but only a bat can hear it during a southern jungle firefright. As to northern jungles, I'm stymied. I may live in the north, but we once spotted four monkeys here. I think they had names and did some song and dance routine.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
