How about someone starting Band in a Box University in Second Life virtual world? Maybe just a nice building in Second Life with the Band in a Box or PG Music sign up. A nice place. A nice landscape outside. Inside is a casual classroom setting. A wall where you will promote BiaB.

Or scratch the Second Life virtual world idea if you just aren't into it. But I think 25 dollars a month in land would give you enough space for a nice building representing this company. Anyway other than that idea there should be BiaB University available for all. There should be more people recording BiaB tutorials. There are thousands of highly skilled BiaB users and they are not producing anything. And they don't have to be some polished productions. Just have some fun with the program. Create something. Worth the tools. Use some kind of Tutorial production program. Do this all for free and share your knowledge.

Right now I am kind of begging on YouTube looking for good tutorials. There isn't much. But I will keep looking. There are many foreign speaking videos that I have to weed through since I only speak English. Seems there are more people from other countries that like to do them. But I could be wrong. I just have to keep looking. But anyway with a title like BiaB University it might inspire more to submit video tutorials to contribute to teaching us all the tricks. Showing us each and every setting and what they all mean. Reading the help files isn't as fun as watching someone use it.

Ok just rattling on. Let me know what you think!!!

There is a BIAB Wiki created by one of our forumites which, IIRC, includes videos created by many. Search the forums or search engine of choice for more information.

I am quite surprised some talented person has not made a video for sale and put it up on Groove 3. I have purchased many of pro videos from them.

Sly,

Here is a link to the BIAB Wiki, which was created by forum member pwarren. I was mistaken; there are no videos, but there are 67 pages' worth of useful information for the beginner and beyond.

The home page has an image of BIAB 2010. I don't know whether the site has been updated recently, but everything should still apply; it just won't cover the newest features.

HTH,

Richard

Also, if you bought BiaB on a hard drive, go to "PG MUSIC" and then the VIDEO TUTORIALS pack.

Great tune Flatfoot and when I get my hard drive in a few days I will check out the tutorials. And John looks like a good tutorial page. I also will check out the wiki. I will start absorbing BiaB ASAP!! Good times ahead in 2014 and beyond!

Still I like the concept of BiaB University. It would give more organization to it all. It just sounds good to me. But at the same time maybe it will give the impression that learning BiaB and also Real Band is difficult so with some of the weak minds they may think it is a huge hurtle that you need to accomplish and run scared.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
