I just recorded a vocal track with a Karaoke of a song. I see there is no Export but it is Save As. I thought most like Export on their programs? Anyway I can only get 56kbps on my Mp3's. But I just installed the Lame and Audacity has much higher. What is going on? And the Wav files don't say the quality on that. Audacity didn't give me control over wav so I guess there isn't much of an option for that.

http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm Install the Mega should give more bitrate options. Not sure what you want to do but you can go to Audio > Merge Audio Tracks to Compressed file or stereo wav file.

I mix to a Wave file via Merge Audio Tracks and then use "Free MP3 Wave Converter V 2.1" to convert to MP3 which provides quality options up to 300bps. You can convert one file at a time or complete folder
Very easy to use.

Very easy to use. +1 on that. The "Folder" option means that you can set it up and then go and get the kettle on!! Although why you would want individual tracks to be mp3 (with the loss of definition) beats me. Completed SFs for your ipod etc, I could understand. (Or - maybe I'm still fuzzy after the New Years gig - my ears are still ringing. Maybe I was TOO loud!! ) Happy New Year

I do produce CDs of songs which have been sorted into programs and mastered. However, I use a Home Theater to play MP3 versions of the CDs via an USB port. While the quality may not be as good as for CD (I really have to listen very hard to detect the differences), it is in a far more convenient format for my purposes.

Sly i as the others did suggest aways "exporting" to a wave file, I use a third party MP3 conversion program, as I feel it gives me more options, and it also teaches me to never export out of RB or BiaB as an MP3 that way if i lose a file i have at least a very high end wave file to show for my work.
under the audio tab "Merge Audio and VSTi/DXi to stereo wave file..."
Lenovo Win 10 16 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2022, Realband, Harrison Mixbus 32c version 9.1324, Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app, Komplete 49 key controller.

Waves are always 16 bits at 44,100 samples per second. That is an industry standard. Since wave are quite large as a result, MP3 is used to compress the larger files into something smaller. I too, always export my individual files and song project files as waves and I reopen them in a third party WAVE EDITOR known as WavePad. Free here: http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.htmlIn the editor, I trim both ends of the file, and use Normalize to raise the levels closer to but slightly under 0db. I SAVE the wave in a folder and then using WavePad, I do a SAVE AS to the MP3 format as well for online posting and mp3 player listening. WavePad allows all sorts of conversion rates from very low to 320kbs. Always opt for the highest possible conversion rates unless there is a valid reason to convert to a lesser number. Some of the free song hosting site do not allow any files larger than 8mb or 10mb depending on the host. So in that case, a longer song might exceed their maximum file size limits so to post one has to render to a lower resolution. Always render to mp3 using the maximum resolution possible.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

If you can't get mp3 to export you can also try FormatFactory it's free, just go slow when you install it and cancel out of the Ask.com toolbar, you can convert anything to anything with a right click. It will also batch convert folders, you can use it to convert all realtracks/drums to m4a for your Mac. In Task > Option just tick Context Menu to get right click "open with or send to FF"

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
