I've been at this for about three weeks now. Thought I'd give it a whirl. I selected one of our original tunes, loaded the chords, melody, copied the vurses abd created some solos. Then I decided to convert to mp3. I clicked Save Soundrack, after a moment the small, yellow window popped up showing a wav file. Then POOF. BIAB closed. Oh goody. Most of my work is now floating in space somewhere. At least I saved the original tune. Any way, I converted it to mp3 with Audacity. The help I need is with the very end. I'm uncertain what help you are asking for.
Is there a "Save Soundrack" (sic) or "Soundtrack" command in BIAB?
I listened to the end of the tune. Is your question about the timing of the ending? If so, what did you code, and what did you expect it to sound like that is different?

Hi Matt,
The "Save Soundtrack" (originally mispelled) is the command button for the "Soundtrack Window".
As far as the end of the song, it ends on two Bb 1/8 notes. I would have liked a Bb7 chord on the last note and for it to be held. I don't see any way you can have a chord on the last upbeat in the last measure of a tune. I was looking for a cleaner, more abrupt ending.

Thanks; I haven't used that function.
Just in case you are not yet familiar, I'll go through some techniques about your ending.
A chord on the last upbeat of a measure is entered by placing a caret (this: ^ ) in front of the chord in the first beat of the NEXT measure. The caret means, "push" or advance by 1/8 beat. Also, add three dots after the chord to make it hold (or right-click on the chord, select Chord Settings, then Hold Chord in the dialog box at the right). Now, here is the 'trick'. You must add another silent chord (like C.) where you want the held chord to stop. Any chord that is different from the held chord will work. However - be aware that Real Tracks do not yet support held chords fully.
Now, none of this will apply unless you do your own ending. If you let BIAB generate a 2-bar ending, you can't control it. Click on the letter "S" icon, or right click for Song Settings, to see the tag options including generating a 2-bar ending, and turn that off.
Give some of these things a try. It becomes easy once you're used to it.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
