This patch will update Band-in-a-Box 2015 to Build 411 from any previous 2015 build. The update must be installed into your existing Band-in-a-Box 2015 folder.
The patch installs many RealTracks updates; make sure to select the correct RealTracks and Drums folders so those files can be updated.

Hi Andrew: I was using the new update feature in BIAB and clicked on Download.
However I couldn't see where it was downloading to (I checked all the usual spots). And I then wondered if it was going to update automatically or if I had to do the update myself but ... where was it downloading to?
I decided to download it the old fashion way.
Hope I make sense (and clear enough). Thanks and cheers.
I also tried updating within BIAB2015 although it said to exit the program before updating (why offer that option then??). However, once the update dialog is open you cannot exit the program so it's a bit catch 22. Regardless I selected the option to download and then install it within BIAB. It downloaded ok but on install exited BIAB and nothing happened.
Fortunately I found where the downloaded update was within the bb folder and ran it manually and it all updated just fine.
Not a big deal really but just thought I would let you know.
Thanks
BIAB 2022 UltraPAK, CbB, Studio One 5 Pro, Fender USA Tele, Harley Benton Fusion & others.
As this is about the update (411), thought I'd report a bit of a bug with Bonus Rockabilly sw [6]. See screenshots (3). PS: many thanks for the quick update.

Receder, the installer always tells you to exit the BIAB Server. That's different from the program itself. It's the little "note" icon in the lower right. Is that possibly the message you saw?
BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors
The download of Build 411 from within BIAB is going really sloooow. Normally downloading 461MB would take 10 or 15 minutes, but this has been going on for over an hour and it's only 45% done. Is this because I'm doing the download from within BIAB, or is the server slow? Any suggestions to speed this up.
Re the slow download issue from within Biab, I saw the same thing. After about 20 minutes it was at 16%. I stopped the download, went here and downloaded it and it took the usual 3-4 minutes. Why the difference? It sure seems like there's something in the update function inside Biab that's slowing it way down.
I know, Biab thinks it's a new song with 47 RT's and that's how long it takes to generate...
Typical with gaming platform updates, when a new patch comes out, everyone is trying to download at the same time. The servers can only handle so many downloads at a time. After all, the patch was just announced. Wait another week and the traffic will be much lower, or download now and let it go slow.
Steve, you're just skimming I guess and not actually reading what we wrote. We all specifically said we stopped the download from within Biab, went to PG's website (as in here} and downloaded it in just a few minutes. Should be the same server doncha think? Now I suppose it's possible it's simply coincidence that all the huge crowds of folks trying to download this update suddenly went away at precisely the same time we downloaded it directly from here?
Sorry for the misunderstanding Bob. Maybe an issue with updating from within the app then? I've always downloaded directly from the website and not had problems that way. Whenever I read on the forums an update is available, I just have the reflex to hit that "Support" button at the top of this page and download there.
Maybe there's an issue within the app that they haven't been able to fix yet.
Thanks, can we get the Piano_Electric_HeldChords 060 pn44##.wma's as wav's Audiophile extra download. Also Drums JazzWaltzLewis^, NewOrleansMardiGras16ths^, NewOrleansShuffle^
RT221 not right. Shots / Holds dont work. ALso - FIDDLE is put in DRUMS position so guess what will happen when you execute an X...? Right - the fiddle will keep right on playimg. Put it in Melody or Soloist?
Old Guys Rule.The older I get,the better I was! BB2023 ULTRA, 1013, Win 7 and 10
I had the same problem, exited out and downloaded it directly and it was fast. Seems to have worked fine.
Doh, didn't know it was available on PG site or I'd have done that. In the end it took 7 hours to download, and about 15 seconds to install. I get nervous when I see something as simple as a download handled so badly within a program, makes me wonder what else is badly handled.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
