There is no way anymore to make a structure in the chord-window. That was possible in older versions of BiaB. When a measure was marked as a or b , a new line was started. That was real nice to get an overview. I really don't understand, why this feature doesn't exist anymore. Now its a pain to see all the chords without any structure, especially if this song doesn't fit to the four-measure grid.

It does exist, and it is the default behavior for BIAB to create a line break when entering a part marker. There is a checkbox to turn this behavior off and that's what I suspect you must have done. I'll find the location as soon I get to my BIAB computer.

If you want a new line for each part marker, go to Song Settings. It's to the right of the title bar. Also Prefs-Display will give you the option for a new line at each part marker. Later, Ray

PS: The Song Settings window can also be accessed from Edit-Settings for this song.

Yes, Ray has it. Preferences, Display sets the default for all songs, but if you check "New Line for Every Section", it can still be overridden for an individual song via the "Sections on a New Line" checkbox in Song Settings.

In my version of BiaB is no check-item "New Line on Every Section" in the Song Settings or in the Preferences. My system is BiaB 2015 v 105 on Mac.
I hope that this is not a Windows-feature only.

Oh. Indeed I was giving instructions for Windows and BIAB 2015. Perhaps you could post an inquiry in the BIAB for Mac forum and get that answer.

I do recall the addition of more control for that is fairly recent (for the Windows version), within the last two years I think.

What puzzles me is that you say you remember the behavior. That would be a valid question for the Mac forum, if this feature was removed. If it was, then you're back here. Just be clear to identify it as a Mac version request.

Good luck.

I'm not quite sure, if this behavior was really on the Mac. I was using BiaB some years before on Windows. Its really frustrating that PGMusic is treating the Mac so bad. Why do they not make exactly the same features for Windows and Mac?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
