I have had BIAB for 3 years now.....and I suck at it, frankly. I'll cut to the chase: I need a tutor. I don't feel that it's customer service' job to hold my hand. (they approved of me posting here)
I need someone to get on Skype or Oovoo with me, and patiently help me create simple projects like back-up tracks for Irish tunes. (that's the gist of my needs)
I need someone with expertise and mastery of BIAB 2012, plus musical background would be great. (I'm a musician, need I say more?)
Obviously, I will pay for your time!
When you reply, please just let me know your special skills, capabilities, or super powers you might possess.

Hi Lora A big welcome. Someone will come along to help for sure, but it would be good to know what part of the world you are in (as far as timezones go) There are also a number of Video Tutorials that might assist if you haven't seen them. (PS: No one here considers questions are stupid) Trevor

there are guys using TeamViewer for that very purpose.
"Overwhelmed and a Little Bit Stupid" that would make a great love song title - the lyrics are flooding in now.

"Overwhelmed and a Little Bit Stupid" that would make a great love song title - the lyrics are flooding in now. I'd say TeamViewer and a telephone conversation. Yes what time zone do you live in? Also have you loaded demo songs from Celtic music styles in the style picker? Use the realtrack styles, don't start with a demo that begins with M_.

Just looked up "TeamViewer", and it's $809 for a license.
If I had that kind of money, I'd hire someone to create my backup tracks FOR me! ;-)
Skype has a "share screens" function....resolution is not the greatest, but it gets the general idea across.
Phone would be fine, but if we did Skype, we wouldn't need to do phone.
Please keep the ideas coming, and if someone is interested, pipe up!

Yes, exactly as Noel mentioned, TeamViewer has no charges for this kind of use. Don't be put off, it really is a great way to deliver the kind of assistance you need, and you can run it on your computer with no charges.

Hi Lora, and welcome to our neighborhood. The posts above are exactly right, TeamViewer is the way to go. I've been tutoring another BIAB /RB user for over a year using TeamViewer. Even though he's hundreds of miles away, using TeamViewer is like having someone right there with you. I can show him exactly what steps to take, what RealTracks to use, how to use the mixer, etc as we build songs together. Our approach is to use TeamViewer on the computers and a cell phone with Bluetooth headsets for voice-overs and conversations...leaving both hands free for keyboard work. Works great! Give it a try...it's free!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
